Numbers and geometry – the spatial manifestation of the relationships between numbers -
have been considered sacred, from Pythagoras to our modern cult of scientific rationalisation.
There are whole numbers, so close to our daily solid existence,
There are irrational numbers (e, pi, phi etc) which seem to dance with the natural world.
And then there is the infinite,
related to numbers but seemingly beyond our grasp.
